Beethoven-Czerny? - “Kreutzer“ Violin Sonata (II. Andante con variazioni) - Cyprien Katsaris Piano

Beethoven composed his 9th violin sonata (op. 47) in 1803. He had it dedicated to Rudolphe Kreutzer who unfortunately considered the piece “outrageously unintelligible.“ The transcription used in the video was attributed to Czerny but the transcription Katsaris used is by an unknown arranger. The notes included with this album state: “The arrangers of movements I & III are unknown, although it could possibly be Czerny, Diabelli, or Kleinheinz.
