I made a silicone cabochon mould then used it to make some stunning resin cabochons

This is a two part video. In part one I made my own silicone mould using various sizes of glass cabochons that I usually use for hand-painted designs. In part two I tried a new (to me) epoxy resin technique to create some absolutely stunning cabochons from the new mould. I The technique of dropping pigments onto the top of clear resin then adding white on top is something I saw Daniel Cooper do using alcohol inks, and I think it’s called the “petri dish effect“ or something like that. The pigments I have are resin dyes so they’re slightly different, but I tried it anyway. I ran into a few issues which I talk through in the video and this project took the best part of 5 days, but the results are a wow!
