Lars Eller scored in the 2nd period after Matt Nieto recovered a turned-over puck and set up Eller. The middle period ended with a 2-0 Penguins advantage on the scoreboard. In the final period, Skinner scored on the power play to end a streak of 111:22 without a goal allowed by Alex Nedeljkovic. Almost five minutes later, Okposo had a shot redirected into the back of the net to tie things up, 2-2.
