Michigan Senator Heckled While Traveling to Meet Trump at White House

Michigan Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey was confronted by activists in the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport on Friday morning, November 20, as he prepared to board a flight. Shirkey planned to meet President Trump at the White House, local media reported. Shirkey and House Speaker Lee Chatfield were summoned to the White House on Thursday for a meeting with the president ahead of Monday’s deadline to certify the state’s 2020 presidential election results.
