Protest in Amsterdam honouring Gaza children

Organised by Plant een Olijfboom (Plant an Olive Tree) foundation, around 10,000 pairs of children’s shoes were displayed in Amsterdam’s Dam Square on Saturday, each representing one Palestinian child killed by Israeli air strikes in Gaza during the nearly 100-days of assault. Women and children make up more than 70% of those killed in Gaza since the heavy Israeli bombardment started on 7 October last year.
