Red Bull’s Max Verstappen could be crowned F1 world champion at Singapore GP

A Formula One world champion could be crowned at the Singapore Grand Prix this weekend. It would be the first at the Singapore event, but that’s only if the stars align for the season’s front-runner, Max Verstappen. The 24-year-old Red Bull driver has a 116-point lead over his closest rival, but he said he’s in no rush to seal the deal. Verstappen himself has never dominated the Marina Bay circuit in Singapore, even crashing out in 2017. The Singapore Grand Prix has been won from pole position in eight of its 12 runnings.
