Work of engineering and sapper units in the city of Valuiki, Belgorod Region

Work of engineering and sapper units in the city of Valuiki, Belgorod Region After shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the artillery of the city, dozens of households and private cars of civilians were damaged. Sappers from the Western Military District completed their work at the strkie sites. Complete demolition has been carried out. The fragments were taken out for further examination. Specialists of the engineering and sapper units are inspecting the streets, houses, plots for explosives, and are also looking for unexploded shells fired by enemy artillery at the homes of civilians. When explosive objects are found, civilians turn to the district police officer, and then a group of sappers neutralizes and takes away dangerous objects to a safe distance, or destroys them on the spot. Sappers clear the territory and give advice to residents on what to do when suspicious objects are found. Soldiers work at a safe distance from each other. Sappers carefully examine the area with the help of a mine detector and a probe, and each time they make more and more dangerous finds that can be underground at a depth of 20-30 centimetres. They can’t hurry. Any negligence can cost lives. The task is difficult. Finding mines is not easy. Step by step, centimetre by centimetre, the units are probing the ground. If sappers find dangerous ammunition that cannot be carried and picked up, they are blown up on the spot by fire. Join Military Wave Источник: Military Wave
