J.V. Stalin and the Cult of Personality

A great deal has been said about the personality cult of J.V. Stalin. The vast majority of assumptions and speculations on this theme, have, as their main basis, the report of N.S. Krushchev to the 20th Congress. Krushchev’s testimony is, on the whole, taken on face value to be the absolute truth, constituting the building blocks for many a documentary, film, book, shaping the opinion of the modern person on who J.V. Stalin was and what life in the USSR under his rule was like. With a look below the surface however, the report of N.S. Krushchev turns out to be, to put it very mildly, far from reliable, and, in many respects, even slanderously false. The work presented for the viewer’s consideration does just that: takes a look below the surface.
