PURCELL - SEFAUCHI’S FAREWELL - JONATHAN SCOTT ORGAN

Organist Jonathan Scott performs Sefauchi’s Farewell, from Musick’s Handmaid Part II (1689) by Henry Purcell. We wanted to film another video on this wonderful tiny pipe organ of Tideswell Parish Church “Cathedral of the Peak“ Derbyshire, UK. This little chamber organ had been unused for the last 15 years and is in the 14th Century Chancel. Sefauchi (or Siface) was the nickname of Giovanni Francesco Grossi, one of the most famous Italian singers of the Baroque period. We hope you enjoy it!
