Our comrade Ranjeet was snatched from outside Hammersmith police station and he too has not been released or charged. All arrests were made under the terrorism act. One thing we noticed about all the arrests — our comrades have been singled out by zionist spotters, in particular the rabid Harry’s Place blog, and their photos passed to the police. On Saturday the police waited til the demo had finished going by and then swooped on our stall as it was packing up, with relatively few members of the public around to offer support. There were between 40-50 officers involved in the action!! When Ranjeet was grabbed today another large crowd of police was sent to do the job. His 5-year-old son was with him but police wouldn’t allow him time to make sure the child was safe and not running into the road before dragging him off. Why are so many officers needed to target a few leafleters? Why are the police acting under orders from freelancing zionists? Why are the powers that be so desperate to build a narrative that supporting Palestine is supporting terrorism?
