BE VULNERABLE have UNCOMFORTABLE CONVERSATIONS

We often hear the phrase, “Relationships take work”. But I like this one better, “Good relationships require intention; they don’t just happen.“ Having hard and uncomfortable conversations is part of this intention. It’s often the things that are left unsaid that cause the most problems, the expectations that we didn’t communicate, the times that we were actually hurt and said it was ‘fine’.  And fear is often the main reason we don’t engage in many of these conversations. But the reality is that the real end begins the moment we start avoiding and sweeping these hard conversations under the rug. We need to acknowledge the importance of these instead of hiding from them.  We just have to be brave and willing to sit through the initial discomfort of bringing them to the table. Give yourself grace as you navigate the complexities of these dialogues. When we share and connect to each other in the painful places, we build bonds that nurture connection and love. And love has the power to heal. Filmed in Hermanus, South Africa. Featuring Jenny Jackson. This is the fourth story that we have filmed with Jenny.
