Doll’s song from Tales of Hoffman

The Tales of Hoffmann (original title: Les Contes d’Hoffmann) is an opéra fantastique in five acts by Jacques Offenbach. The French libretto was written by Jules Barbier, based on a play written in 1851 with Michel Carré. It is the second opera composed by Offenbach, a composer dedicated to the operetta genre, who died before completing the instrumentation, later completed by Ernest Guiraud. The first performance took place at the Opéra-Comique in Paris on February 10, 1881.
