2 Ply Corn Husk Cordage #shorts

The second of three videos that are going to accompany an atlatl, woomera and propulseur video coming soon. There are many plant based fibres that be used for cordage and a while back I made a videos of Spear Thistle cordage and Horseradish cordage powereing a bow drill set. This corn husk cordage is made using the 2 ply technique and makes for a decent cordage using the sheaths of this late summer vegetable. I quickly made six foot of cordage to wrap around the handle of my ’crab claw’ atlatl which will feature in the afore mentioned video to come. You may need to lightly moisten the husks when working them.
