Trying to make my first San Mai - Je tente mon premier San Mai

Hello friends. For my third time at the forge, it’s time to try my first San Mai. This is something I really wanted to do since a while! I’m getting more and more attracted by the forge so that’s why I decided to dive into this fascinating part of the cutlery. I used here some 1075 steel and old iron on the sides. For the handle this is a wonderful piece of ash tree. Hope you wil like it 😀 Hello les amis, Pour ma troisième fois à la forge, j’ai décidé de tenter mon premier San Mai. C’est une chose que je souhaitais vraiment tenter depuis un moment! Je suis de plus en plus attiré par la forge, c’est pourquoi j’ai décidé de plonger dans cette fascinante partie de la coutellerie. J’ai utilisé ici de l’XC75 et du vieux fer pour les flancs. Côté manche c’est un superbe morceau de frêne olivier. J’espère que vous aimerez 😀 .
