Dress In 90 Seconds Aka Duke Of Bedford Dressing (1959)

Woburn Abbey, Bedfordshire. High angle of a walk in wardrobe with lots of shelves of socks. C/U of a clock which reads four minutes past seven. Narrator observes that in the rush of the modern world we need to “pull our socks up“ where men have to “keep up of fall by the wayside.“ C/U of a man’s legs as he pulls on some red socks. He is one of the “busiest men in the country“ and he is so organised that he can get dressed in 90 seconds. Various shots of him getting things out of his cupboards. His shirts are laid out perfectly, his trousers are merely clipped to a hanger, his shoes laid out etc. We are told that “our well organised man is, of course, His Grace the Duke of Bedford.“ Various shots of the duke putting on his shirt and tie. Narrator observes that any man can take a tip from His Grace and be just as organised. Shots of him getting dressed are intercut with shots of the clock.
