The most complete video on Soviet rule in the Caucasus at the time of upload. Video covers events from the Treaty of Moscow in March 1921 to the dissolution of the USSR in December 1991. Note: I tried as best I could to make everything as accurate as possible, but some border changes weren’t listed or only had the year they occurred and not the month. For these changes, I have included the changes the year/month they first appeared on maps or by including the change at the beginning or the end of the year they occurred in. Errors: 1. As Sənan Zeynallı has pointed out, the border change that occurred between Nakhichevan ASSR and Armenian SSR in 1934 in the video actually occurred on February 1929. “10 villages of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic were given to Armenia by the decision of the Central Executive Committee of the Transcaucasia Soviet Federative Socialist Republics, which included Azerbaijan at the time, dated February 18, 1929. These are the villages of Gurdgulak, Khachik, Horadiz of Sharur district, Oghbin, Agkhach, Almali, Itqiran, Sultanbey villages of Shahbuz district of Nakhchivan district, Gorchevan village of Ordubad district, as well as a part of Kilit village.“ çıvan_Muxtar_Respublikası 2. As MrMalaga has pointed out in the comments section, the border between Chechnya and Ingushetia changed in 2018 to run alongside the Fortanga River and the one shown in the video shows the revised 2018 borders.
