Anders Zorn | The Beauty of the Female Figure

«I never spent much time thinking about others’ art. I felt that if i wanted to become something, then i had to go after nature, with all my interest and energy, seek what i loved about it, and desire to steal its secret and beauty.” – Anders Zorn Anders Leonard Zorn (1860-1920) is one the most greatest Swedish artists in art history. His original interest for sculpture was early set aside for the art of watercolor painting at the Swedish art academy. Early works consists of beautiful watercolors with focus on the effects of light and reflections on water. From 1887 Zorn started painting with oil, creating landscapes with female figures and portraits, the life of nature and light always present in the composition.
