This remix by Rollo was released in 1992 as the ’Hooj Mix’, refering to the famous recordlabel ’Hooj Choons’ on which this track was first released. Felix is Francis Wright (UK), who was only 17 years old when he wrote ’Don’t You Want Me’ and ’It Will Make Me Crazy’. The demo-version of those tracks was picked up by Rollo (Roland Armstrong) and Red Jerry, who immediately contracted the 17 year old bloke. With Red Jerry and Rollo as co-producers Francis Wright re-recorded the tracks and ’Don’t You Want Me’ was released as the first single in 1992. The huge wordwide succes of this debut track overwhelmed everyone and especially Francis Wright. Within no time the single climbed to number 6 in the UK Top 40 and the video was given a ’super high rotation’ on MTV Europe. A few weeks later ’Don’t You Want Me’ was a top-5 hit in every European country and number 1 in the Billboard Dance Chart. Follow up ’It Will Make Me Crazy’ was the second worldwide hit for Felix.
