Boy Motor Cyclist Beware - Other Colour Pics Share This Title (1960)

M/S of numerous motorcyclists with sidecar passengers starting off in a race before a large crowd at a countryside racetrack, Lydden Auto Sports Track, near Dover, Kent; panning left as they drive off we see the starting man wearing a knotted hanky on his head. M/S as the contestants race past us. M/S of a motor cyclist climbing onto his stationary bike in a paddock to adjust the mechanism, panning right along a row of bikes to show Bill Shipwash working on a small motorbike with sidecar; C/Us as he tests and adjusts the brakes. M/Ss of BS working on the bike as a small boy, his 6-year-old son, Johnny Shipwash, walks into shot and puts on his helmet; C/U as BS helps him. C/U as JS fastens his gaiters; M/Ss as he climbs onto the small bike and is helped to start off by his 21-year-old brother - also called Bill - who then rides on the sidecar.
