Anna Netrebko / Maria Pizzolato: “Stabat Mater“ (Trailer)

In her upcoming album “Stabat Mater“ Anna Netrebko reveals her admiration for Pergolesi and her love for his Stabat Mater. The music was recorded at Netrebko’s July 2010 Baden-Baden concert where she was joined by the beautifully schooled tones of Marianna Pizzolato’s mezzo voice and the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia under Antonio Pappano. Besides “Stabat mater“, one of classical music’s most popular works, the album includes a secular cantatas for soprano “Nel chiuso centro“ and “Questo è il piano, also a secular cantata for alto and strings.
