“Committing Rape Is Now A DEFENCE To Being Deported” | Henry Bolton | Peter Cardwell | Abdul Ezedi

During an overnight raid in Newcastle, police searching for the fugitive sex offender, suspected of attacking a mother and her two children with an alkaline substance, found containers labeled with a “corrosive“ warning. Forensic tests are underway to determine if these containers held the substance used in the Clapham’s Lessar Avenue attack on Wednesday 31 January 2024, which left 12 people injured, as reported by the Metropolitan Police on Friday. The sole suspect, Abdul Shokoor Ezedi, was last spotted boarding a southbound Victoria Tube at King’s Cross less than 90 minutes after the Clapham attack. The police have released the last-known image of the 35-year-old fugitive, revealing severe burn marks on the right side of his face. It has come to light that Ezedi was convicted of a sexual offense in 2018 but was granted asylum in 2021 or 2022 from Afghanistan, his native country. Despite two previous asylum refusals, he obtained leave to remain after converting to Christianity. Peter Cardwell speaks with border and international security advisor, Henry Bolton MBE.
