Fly Tying New Tarpon Fly

Originally I tied this fly with a rabbit zonker, but that make the fly difficult to cast and it lands with a big splash. The finn-racoon works much... much better! Even a slow/short strip makes this fly move like crazy. Plus it lands softly, good for those slick day’s on the water and it is easy to tie too. Tie some of these for you next trip, this color is great but you can tie any color combo you like! The Gamakatsu SC-15 2/0 is also a great tarpon hook! and a bit lighter than the tiemcos.
