Bio by She Rox All Female Bands: Los Angeles,California based the Go-Go’s began in 1978 as a raw, brash punk band, however with the replacement of Elisa Bello and Margot Olavarria, original drummer and bassist the band soon signed to records after numerous denials by other labels, the band took on a pop friendly rock and quickly became a commercial success in part due to their debut album 1981’s “Beauty and The Beat“, a number one album supported by two top 20 singles, “We Got The Beat“ charting at #2
