Israeli Apartheid Week Demonstrations and Counter Protests with Students for Justice in Palestine

For the 14th Annual Israeli Apartheid Week (IAW), Students for Justice in Palestine led a demonstration at the Butler Plaza to raise awareness and educate the students of the University of Houston about the system of apartheid the state of Israel has over the Palestinian people. This incited reactionary protests from Houston Hillel, a multi-campus foundation that is committed to the support of Israel as a Jewish and Democratic State. CoogTV’s ShastaDoc team got out there to cover the demonstration and counter protests and were able to get interviews from both ends of the conversation.
