Giant bullfinches and tits, stars and crescents, soaring up to the glass vaults of GUM, are decorated with Zhostovo paintings and illuminated by thousands of light bulbs - the Main Department Store shines and sparkles with New Year’s decorations. The legendary Gumov fountain turned into a huge green spruce, under which there was a New Year’s market with a huge selection of holiday decorations and handmade Christmas tree decorations. New Year’s trade this year covered the entire GUM. The painted pavilion houses on the second and third lines display folk crafts: Orenburg shawls, Khokhloma, Zhostovo trays, Yaroslavl majolica, nesting dolls, various souvenirs with the image of a dragon - a symbol of the coming 2024.
