[SUB.] Urban Japan Documentary | Tokyo Noise | 1080p

Tokyo, the metropolis of sound, movement and culture: Tokyo Noise is an exciting audiovisual dive into the cacophonic waters of urban Japan. Three Swedish documentary makers drag us into a world characterized by noise in all possible forms, and during the trip a plethora of themes are subjects for speculation: robots, shintoism, love hotels, the ethical guidelines for a photo club specializing in Mount Fuji. All of this is presented by a handful of people as eccentric photographers, noise artists, shinto priests, doctors, game designers and more. The eccentric cast of characters includes photographers Nobuyoshi Araki and Kyoichi Tsuzuki, Fuji photographer Rocky Tanaka, Shinto priest Mr. Watanabe, game designer Haruhiko Shono, noise musician Mayuko Hino (and other noise musicians), “technostress doctor” Dr. Sumioka, AI scientist Dr Hiroaki Kitano, karaoke aficionados, and the author Ryu Murakami. The eclectic soundtrack was composed, performed, and compiled by Johan Söderberg and Zbigniew Karkowski, known for his work in The Hafler Trio.
