Book-Loving Queen Commends Young Writers in BBC Writing Competition

Buckingham Palace released behind the scenes footage of the event showing the build up and preparation. Queen Camilla praised Britain’s best young writers as she presented the prizes in the BBC’s 500 Words competition for World Book Day on Thursday.  The Queen, 76, extended her congratulations to the winners, praising their skill in “conjouring magic with your pens“ as she honored their talent at Buckingham Palace. After a three-year hiatus, the competition saw a staggering 44,000 entries submitted this year. The winners were announced on The One Show on World Book Day.
