EARVANA - REMOVING GIBSON NUT

In this first video we are preparing a guitar to take an Earvana Shelf Nut. Firstly we need to remove the existing nut , and this is not always an easy task , so we thought we’d show how we approach it. Not many tools are required - in this video we use the following: A small hammer A block of wood A scalpel or X-Acto type craft knife Some fret cutting pliers A 1/8“ wide chisel A file - we used a special one from - (part #5056)but needle files will work.
