Interested in touring Turkey with me in 2024? Sign up to the waiting list here: I was recently allowed by @TugayAlpat, to publish his new footage of the 11,500-Year-Old Megalithic site of Karahan Tepe because I think it’s great and important to see how the site is developing in 2023, with the new exacation season now underway. In this video, Tugay takes us around the perimeter of the entire site, as I give commentary about what we’re seeing, and you can even see the trench where the new and enormous human statue was discovered just weeks ago. Please subscribe to Tugay’s channel here and please comment your thanks to him: I end the video with a selection of photographs, taken just a few days ago by @TheLastNatufian, a fantastic selection of high quality photographs that give us even more insight on Karahan Tepe in 2023. Herman has formulated this own unique hypothesis regarding the iconography on display at the Pre-Pottery Neolithic sites, with a strong focus on Gobekli Tepe and anyone with an interest should take a look at @TheLastNatufian For those who would like a more detailed look at the newly discovered statues at Karahan Tepe, as well as the new statue of a wild boar from Göbekli Tepe, please check out my video at All images and video are owned by Tugay Alpay, Dakota Wint and Herman Lewis, and have been used with permission in this video. A selection of images and associated information come from the 2021 publication, Buried Buildings at Pre-Pottery Neolithic Karahantepe by Necmi Karul, linked here: Music by Adrian Von Zeigler: Title Music by Ross Bugden: Please subscribe to Ancient Architects, Like the video and please leave a comment below.
