Under pressure Post Office investigators were ranked on a loss recovery leaderboard, the inquiry into the Horizon IT scandal heard. Speaking at the hearing today, former investigator Suzanne Winter said that her colleagues’ scores could be viewed on a computer. Asked by inquiry counsel Emma Price about the system, Ms Winter said they were ranked one to five depending on to what extent objectives have been met, adding: “Once you were given them then they would most likely be put on the computer.” She continued: “We could see everybody else’s, but, I mean, I didn’t go looking to see what is everybody else doing. “I was just concerned with what I had been targeted to.” Ms Winter added that she and her colleagues were under pressure to increase the losses they recovered.
