Bondzie, better known as MC Skibadee, was a British recording artist and Drum and Bass MC, known for being one of the first and leading players in the jungle scene. Since breaking through back in 1993, Skibadee was regarded around the globe as the most influential Drum and bass MC and has had 25 years of celebrated collaborations with the likes of SASASAS, Shy FX and many more. On the 27th of February 2022 we unfortunately lost Skibbadee from all of our lives. His sudden death, at the age of 47, touched music lovers around the world. His legacy will live on forever and it was heartwarming to see our scene come together to show their respects for his life and his legacy moving pioneering MC regularly appeared in Bristol and often celebrated and helped shine a light on up and coming artists breaking through in the scene. Gardna had the honour of linking up and collaborating with MC Skibadee just 6 days before he passed away. ’Every Time That I Land’ is the outcome of Skibadee’s last ever studio session recorded in Bristol on 21/02/22. We are blessed to be working with Skibadee’s nearest family members on this release to be able to donate the proceeds of this track to his daughters Asia, Skyler and Sienna. Our intention is to share Skibadee’s last session and respectfully release this track there to the world to continue the legacy of Skibadee and show love and support for his family and friends.
