The simplicity of its whitewashed houses that line its narrow streets make Frigiliana the ideal place to relax and break away from the daily routine. In the Barribarto, as the historic center of the city is also called, you can notice the influence of the Moors who reigned over this village until the 16th century. The narrow streets that wind between white houses make Frigiliana one of the most unique and charming places in the La Axarquía region. The Barribarto was declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 2014, mainly due to the very good state of conservation of its historic center among the towns of the province of Malaga.
