Ferrari 250 GT SWB - Collection BAILLON (ex Alain Delon)

This is the crown jewel of the incredible barn find that occured a few months ago, where more than 30 vehicles abandoned were found, including this magnificent black 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider (chassis 2935). Dubbed the “Collection Baillon“ (the former owner who passed away leaving this vast unattented treasure behind). This particular car used to belong to famous french actor Alain Delon, which obviously makes it that much more desirable. With only 37 units worldwide, thought to be lost forever ever since, it is always a thrill to see such models brought back to life. They are currently exposed in Rétromobile, in a special area where they added some sort of mysterious and mystical atmosphere: poor lighting, like a car cemetery being brought back to life, with scarce strong light on some particular cars. The ARTCURIAL auction will take place at Rétromobile on Friday February 6th 2015. The estimates for this car are 9,500,000€ - 12,000,000€. Will it do more? Will it do less? Only time will tell!
