Reflecting on 14 Years of Impact: The Green Beret Foundation’s Journey

On October 1, 2023, we came together to commemorate a special day in the history of the Green Beret Foundation. It had been 14 incredible years since the foundation was established. In those 14 years, the Green Beret Foundation’s supporters were nothing short of extraordinary—playing a vital role in fueling the mission of providing essential support to all generations of U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers, their spouses, families, and caregivers. Since its inception, the Green Beret Foundation has invested over 19 million dollars into its Programs and Services. That has been 19 million dollars directly impacting the lives of Green Berets and their families. In 2022 alone, GBF had invested 86 cents of every donated dollar back into Programs and services, serving 3,947 Special Forces families. But the mission was far from over—Green Berets had seen more deployments than any other Special Operations Forces since 9/11, with roughly 7,500 currently serving in over 80 countries. Almost every Green Beret who had served since 9/11 had been deployed and had either been injured, wounded, or become ill, with an expected transition within the next five years. Together, we could make a difference that resonates for generations to come.
