Cool agression / “fighting“ between spotted severum (Heros notatus) males

Yes, there’s agression between H. notatuses but most often it is something as smooth as this - provided that both have established their own territory with their partner. If they don’t, then they simply escape (if they can). But they don’t really like to fight. Both males are defending their spawning territory (but only the one on the right has eggs/not-yet-swimming fry currently) . Current stocking - 4 adult Heros notatus (WC, 2 breeding pairs) their juveniles from spring 2016 - 11 siamese algae eaters - about 30 Otocinclus sp. Plants: - Lilaeopsis brasiliensis - Blyxa japonica - Lobelia cardinalis `mini` - Hedyotis salzmannii - Java fern (Microsorum pteropus) - Microsorum pteropus var. trident - Anubias barteri var. nana ’Petite’.
