The Royal Tournament (1932)

Full title reads: “London. The Royal Tournament. The Navy - Army - and Air Force’s Wonder Show opened by His Majesty the King.“ London. King George V, followed by Queen Mary, walk down a red carpet guarded on either side by members of the Armed Forces. Ranks of soldiers - some with rifles, some Guardsmen wearing bearskins. Behind them stand various military bands, including the Royal Marines and the Guards. L/S of the King and various service chiefs saluting from the Royal Box. Great shot of the hall where the Royal Tournament is being held (? Olympia). There is a large crowd in the stands and lots of troops and military bands in the arena. Also of interest are the lights and loud speaker horns. Pan across the arena. L/S King George V inspecting troops. Closer shot of the King and service Chiefs walking along the ranks of troops. Cavalry men (possibly Lancers) show of their formation riding skills in the arena. They are wearing shiny metal helmets and are carrying lances. Sound Track M
