Betty Boop: “Sally Swing“ (1938)

Sally Swing is a 1938 Fleischer Studios animated short film starring Rose Marie as Sally Swing and Margie Hines as Betty Boop. Notes: This is the first cartoon where Betty’s body is updated. She now has a more human-like head, and is taller. This was probably done to modernize Betty and to distance from the previous flapper-like image seen in previous cartoons.
