Open access Medical Video Journal, Elastic Plastic Surgery Dr Sergio Capurro believes that the face and neck cannot truly be rejuvenated by means of the ample dissection that is typical of traditional aesthetic surgery, as this causes damage to the vascularization and innervation of the tissues. The Jano needle and the elastic thread make the dissection and traction of SMAS obsolete. Elastic lifting procedures, which are performed through incisions of a few millimeters or centimeters, are economical, require little or no skin dissection and yield long-lasting results. Capurro S.
