Sonata in C Minor (The 94th Psalm) by Julius Reubke – Nathan Laube, organ

Nathan Laube, Assistant Professor of Music at the Eastman School of Music, performs Julius Reubke’s colossal sonata in four movements. Each movement is inspired by texts from the 94th Psalm. The performance was recorded live at the 2015 Mid-Atlantic Regional Convention of the American Guild of Organists in Pittsburgh at St. Paul Roman Catholic Cathedral. Laube played the cathedral’s 97-rank mechanical action organ installed by Rudolf von Beckerath in 1962.
