C4D Tutorial: Sticking Multiple Images To Clones Using Texture/Camera Mapping With Polygon Selection

In this tutorial I am going to show you how to use polygon selection tags to map multiple textures on to a cloner grid array. You’ll need some knowledge of the Cloner and Effectors to follow along. I’m currently working on a project for a local packaging company and I needed a quick and easy way to map several images to clones and have control over where I projected my images. I searched high and low for the information, which I couldn’t find. There’s some great information out there, but nothing that suited my needs. So I had to put my thinking cap on to come up with the solution. I am going to show you my solution, which will involve walking you through the basics of Texture Mapping and Camera Mapping and how I used Polygon Selection Tags to map multiple images to a Cloner Grid Array. I am also going to run through the basics of using the Cloner Fix Texture Mode: Straight, Alternate X and Alternate Y.
