How to pare leather

This short video illustrates the technique of edge paring leather for bookbinding using an A2 cryogenically treated English style knife made by Jeff Peachey. Once the leather is beveled, it can then be adhered and turned in without creating excess bulk. Jeff Peachey makes a variety of knives and other tools for bookbinders and conservators.
