Английский язык 6 класс Урок№36 - History. Toying with the past. Old toys Do you like to play with toys? Do you have your favorite toy? It’s great to play with toys, isn’t it? Children all over the world began to play toys long time ago. Today we will learn a lot of interesting facts about toys which were popular in the past. мы узнаем: узнаем новую лексику по теме «Игрушки прошлого»; мы научимся: использовать знания о временах Present Continuous и Past Simple в устной и письменной речи; мы сможем: составлять постер о популярных в России в прошлом игрушках. Past Simple используется для перечисления последовательности событий в прошлом или их описания. Present Continuous выражает процесс в определённый момент в настоящем. Например: Утвердительные формы: We built a house two years ago. – Мы построили дом два года назад. We are building a house now. – Мы строим дом сейчас. Отрицательные формы: I didn’t play football last week. – Я не играл в футбол на прошлой неделе. I’m not playing football this week, because my leg hurt. – Я не играю в футбол на этой неделе, потому что у меня болит нога. Culture corner Matryoshka The traditional Russian doll is a wooden painted doll with smaller dolls inside. The shape of the doll is close to the shape of an egg, and the toy has a flat bottom for stability. Each doll, except the smallest one, is divided into two parts - the upper and the lower. There are usually not less than three smaller dolls in one matryoshka. The matryoshka is presented in the form of a woman in a sundress and a head scarf. Nesting dolls are made mostly of softwood: linden, less often birch and we consider matryoshkas traditional Russian toys they come from Japan and appeared in Russia in the XIX century.
