Measure length and width of table to prepare for cutting the containment wall frames. Step 2: Cutting the Fitting Frame (0:57) Step 3: Building the Frame walls (1:06) Frame walls are constructed to contain the liquid rubber. A spacer is used to set wall height. Silicone caulking is used to seal frame to table. Apply caulking in narrow stream to edge of table. Nails are used to secure frame walls to table. Repeat the step for each side of the table. Allow sealant to fully cure. Step 4: Applying the Release Agent (1:48) Universal Mold Release is used to prevent adhesion between the rubber, working surface, and walls. Brush release agent evenly across the entire surface including the frame walls. Allow release agent to dry for at least 20 minutes. Step 5: Mixing the Materials (2:14) Econ 80 urethane rubber features a 1A:1B mix ratio and a low viscosity for easy mixing and pouring. Pre-mix Part B before dispensing. Combine equal amounts of Part A and Part B poured into a larger mixing container. Using a straight edged paddle, scrape the sides and bottom of the mixing container several times. Drill mix thoroughly for 2 minutes. Pour mixture into a new, clean mixing container. Thoroughly drill mix in new container for an additional 30 seconds. Step 6: Pouring the Material (3:08) Dispense the material evenly across the table surface. Working time is about 13 minutes at 73°F (23°C). Mix and pour additional material as needed. After pouring material, look for bubbles and lightly pass a propane torch over surface to dissipate. Allow rubber to cure for at least 24 hours at 73°F (23°C). Step 7: Removal & Deployment (3:50) After the mat is fully cured, it is removed. Cutting grid is installed, and the mat is repositioned. The grid is clearly visible for accurate cutting. Econ 80 urethane rubber provides a clear self-healing material. Cutting mats last a long time.
