Consider becoming a Patron to help me make these videos: Twitter: Mendelssohn’s unfinished piano concerto No. 3 in E minor is a little known piece of the Mendelssohn literature. It comprises thirteen pages of the piano score of the first and second movements but only nine pages of barely filled orchestral passages. The manuscript is still in good condition and held in the Margaret Deneke Mendelssohn Collection at the Bodleian Library in Oxford. The handwriting is undoubtedly that of Mendelssohn. This arrangement based on the fragments of the piano concerto was composed by Marcello Bufalini. 00:00 - I. Molto vivace 12:16 - II.
