Masala chai is very easy to make and it so satisfying. The warm spices in the tea just make my soul happy. I use plant based milk and no sweetener for this recipe. However, you can go ahead and use whole milk and sugar (or sweetener) for yours if you want. Enjoy!
The combination of tea and spices in chai make it very beneficial for your health. Cinnamon is excellent for your body. It can lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol and regulate the sugar in your blood. Cloves are high in antioxidants, may helo your liver and also regulate the sugar in your blood. Cardamon are also full of antioxidants and have anti-inflammatory properties. And, of course, black tea is also loaded in antioxidants and can help with heart health. It may help lower cholesterol, might protect you from a stroke and help you regulate your blood pressure.
