A 5.1 magnitude earthquake was registered in Ventura County, California on Sunday afternoon, followed by about a dozen aftershocks. The quake hit around 2:41 pm local time with a magnitude of 5.1, according to the US Geological Survey. An earthquake was reported about 4.3 miles southeast of Ojai at a depth of about 9 miles. Within seconds of the quake, at least 17 aftershocks were recorded, all centered around Ojai.
