Large and Complex Sunspot Groups On Solar Disk - Increased Solar Flare Risk Forecast
Sunspot groups, Region 3576 and 3575, are magnetically complex and much larger than Earth. These two Regions were the source of several M-class flares (R1-Minor) 5-6 Feb.
Latest analysis indicates both Regions remain at an elevated probability of M-class flare activity with a chance of X-class flares (R3-Strong) over the next few days. However, Region 3575 will rotate to and beyond the Limb beginning 7-8 Feb.
