The Arba’een is the largest annual gathering of human beings anywhere on the planet, bringing 20M Shia Muslims to Iraq every single year to commemorate the death of Imam Hussain in the year 680 AD. The Arba’een is one of the greatest displays of human generosity anywhere in the world - all along the walk, pilgrims are offered food, water, tea, coffee, and even lodging, completely for free.
