Hezbollah holds Beirut rally commemorating Iranian President

Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah gave a televised speech during a group’s rally commemorating Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian who were killed along with other officials in a helicopter crash. “This incident saddened us, was painful for us, and it even made us cry; because we lost in it great leaders, dear ones and Mujahideen (Holy fighters), in a very sensitive period of time,“ Nasrallah told a crowd of officials and people waving Hezbollah and Iranian flags in the southern suburbs of Beirut. Raisi, a hardliner seen as a potential successor to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed alongside Amirabdollahian and six other passengers and crew when the helicopter carrying them crashed in poor weather on Sunday. #iran #ebrahimraisi #hezbollah Subscribe to The Telegraph with our special offer: just £1 for 3 months.
