Environmental consequences of the war in Ukraine

Nearly 2 years into the Ukraine war and the slogans are sounding hollow. The predictions of the anti-war movement - which were greeted with vicious demonisation - are now coming true. The always-inevitable Western betrayal is now in progress. With tens of thousands now dead who didn’t have to die, and vast tracts of land that could have been saved now occupied, Ukraine is being pressed by its erstwhile allies towards terms much worse than were possible in April 2022, when it was urged to fight on by the killer clown Boris Johnson and NATO. Precious little “glory“ to be had; a calamity from start to finish.
